A world of mostly highly educated people, many knowledge experts and colleagues with years of proven results behind them, strong reputations built up in (international) matrix teams, boardrooms and management teams. And something fundamental is now shifting in the world around them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And the question that they rarely speak out loud, but which they are awake to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Am I still good enough if my intelligence will soon no longer be the distinguishing element? Who am I without my knowledge, my title and my status? What do I have to offer, am I playing myself into the spotlight, and what is it that I am really contributing to the bigger picture? Do I still matter?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That question is not a small one. It is at the heart of what I call The Intelligence Gap. And it is the reason I write about it in this Letter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-luminous-vivid-amber-background-color has-background\">What is fundamentally changing in leadership and entrepreneurship<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>AI is making its first deep inroads into our lives as well as business. It's not hype, not as a distant concept, but as a structural change in how people work and organizations think, decide and perform. Analyses that used to take days are generated in minutes. Reports write themselves. Strategic scenarios are calculated to scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For leaders, top experts and entrepreneurs who have spent years delivering value through their content knowledge, their analytical ability, their cognitive speed, this is a time to consider and recalibrate. After all, if an AI does in a short time what you did in a month, what is your distinctive value?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The honest truth is, your intelligence alone is no longer enough. IQ has always been the entrance ticket to school, to draw lots for certain studies, but never the long-term differentiator. What now becomes relevant and the essence is the intelligence that AI cannot replicate. Including the human layer, EQ x IQ. What I call the integral growth system:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EQ \u00d7 IQ \u00d7 AI. Three forces that combine to determine whether you not only stay relevant, but become distinctive.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-luminous-vivid-amber-background-color has-background\">What is The Intelligence Gap\u2122 and why does it affect you as a leader<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Intelligence Gap is the gap between who you are on paper and who you really are as a leader. Between the intelligence you make visible and the intelligence you carry within you but do not yet fully deploy. Between performing because it is expected and leading from your essence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It goes far beyond just AI adaptation which many have now plumped for as a gap in the market. This is about the fundamental issue that I encounter both in boardrooms and among entrepreneurs: you have the knowledge, you have the experience, you have the results. But somewhere there is a gap. A gap between what you know and who you dare to be. Between what you do and what you really want to achieve. Between the position you hold and the impact you feel you can make.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You have that gap to close and bridge. And this is how I did that....<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-luminous-vivid-amber-background-color has-background\">How I changed course myself and what it taught me about intelligence<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After twenty years in corporate business, I was at a point that many recognize but few name. Everything was right from the outside. Good position, good salary, respected. And yet I was mostly living in what my psychologist at the time so aptly called \u2018the attic. I followed my head. My IQ prevailed, while my feelings were systematically suppressed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For some time I felt I was no longer doing what I am good at and energized by. I felt limited and confined in my golden cage and my own constructed rat race. Everything was regulated and running perfectly. All without the satisfaction, without the appreciation and serious growth perspective, which had been \u2018promised\u2019 and held out to me (and yes, I certainly learned from this after I started to see this and what role I had in this myself, but that is for another Letter).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Long story short. I was labeled from overworked in prelude to burnout. But on reflection, it was a bore-out due to lack of challenge, under-stimulation and breach in safety, honesty and fairness. Very important core values for me, where I experienced going over my limits and letting it happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Things had to change, because all this was affecting my health, the quality of my life as well as my enjoyment of life. And on my Gerdis, I radically changed course. Not because I already knew exactly where I was going, but because I knew that staying put was no longer an option. And it was precisely in that movement that I discovered what integral intelligence really means. Not head or heart, but head and heart. Not IQ or EQ, but EQ enhanced by IQ, enhanced by the capabilities that AI provides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was the start of what I now look back on as the foundation of everything I do: helping leaders become not just smarter, but more complete. Not just more efficient, but freer.
