About that transitional phase that no one tells you you have to get through\u2014and that determines everything.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I see this in almost every collaboration, especially with women who take on a lot and rarely ask for help. The moment a woman truly begins to build her new, next phase in life and professional growth, she faces decisions that cause stress. She lets go of responsibilities, ongoing projects, partners, colleagues, and clients that no longer align with her new role. She stops doing what she once did and working with the people with whom she was once successful. She changes her role even though her old way of working still generates money and income. She makes choices without complete certainty, because the new structure isn\u2019t in place yet, while the old one no longer fits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s where many experienced entrepreneurs get stuck. Not because they don\u2019t know what they could change, but because they don\u2019t want to go through the transitional phase\u2014the phase where you don\u2019t yet know exactly what the new situation will look like, but you do know that you no longer want to continue with the old one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That transitional phase is uncomfortable. It is also inevitable. And it is precisely where the next phase is built.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Changing, innovating, and (re)positioning requires letting go of what is, without knowing exactly what is to come.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What the Next Phase Really Requires<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Their experience, intelligence, talent, reputation, and network. Their time, energy, and money. You can be very successful in business and still build a life that doesn\u2019t feel rich, fulfilling, or free. The new standard is that personal, professional, and financial growth reinforce one another rather than drain one another.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Intelligent simplification works differently. You separate value from form, so you can move away from the form without destroying the underlying capital. You can translate your experience into intellectual property (IP) that continues to exist outside the context in which it originated. You can use existing client results as evidence for a new positioning. You can expand a method into a framework that is just as powerful in a different context. You innovate without destroying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is what it means to grow as an adult, and it starts with one distinction: understands what form is and understands what value is<\/strong>. Form may be left behind. Value is what you take with you.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
